Have Your Say! Help choose a name for the Horseshoe Bend Road Primary School

The community have been invited vote for their preferred name for the future Horseshoe Bend Road Primary School, located just two minutes from The Reserve.

The Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA) is currently running a community survey to gauge the community’s feedback on a shortlist of proposed names for the new school from the Registered Aboriginal Party for the local area.

With three potential names coming from the local Warrawurrung language; Turra Turra, named after the word for wings; Warwarok meaning to encircle, or literally, the rush used for baskets; Yirrama, which means ‘in the morning’.

The survey closes at 5 pm on Thursday, 19th June 2025. Preferences and any other feedback will help inform the final name, which is expected to be announced in July 2025.
